"My path into wildlife conservation started with the RSPB, completing an Assistant Warden internship and from there I worked as a Ranger for the National Trust, before moving to my new role here at Flag Fen. I love being outdoors and enjoy hiking, visiting historical places and wildlife photography. My main passion is insects - including moths, butterflies and dragonflies, so I will be spoilt here at Flag Fen as it is a real haven for wildlife!
Flag Fen has always held a special place in my heart and I have fond memories visiting here as a child. Fenland habitats are incredibly important and are full of life - I am passionate about protecting and enhancing this special site for people to enjoy and learn about.
There are lots of exciting projects I have already started work on including restoring the island on the mere and creating a lively wildflower garden. I am also excited to start carrying out various wildlife surveys in the Spring and Summer months."
