Step into the world of fossils this February half term and travel back in time to meet Mary Anning, the legendary fossil hunter whose discoveries changed our understanding of the prehistoric world.

Hear the story of Mary’s remarkable life and groundbreaking finds, then get hands-on with real fossils to discover what they can tell us about life millions of years ago. This interactive experience is perfect for curious minds and budding palaeontologists.

Alongside the live character sessions, families can enjoy a range of hands-on fossil activities:

Make your very own fossil to take home
Get your hands dirty as you dig to uncover a fossil from a prehistoric creature, hidden in a sand and plaster-of-paris mixture. Once uncovered, your fossil is yours to keep!
Big Fossil Dig (Outdoor): Step into the role of a palaeontologist and discover genuine fossils hidden deep within local Oxford Clay that has been forming for millions of years.
Fossil Trail: Explore the site at your own pace with our fossil-themed trail
