Each monthly session at Flag Fen offers a hands-on, approachable introduction to the night sky:
Guided night sky tour
Take a live exploration of the heavens, with guidance to help you identify constellations, planets, and key celestial features.
Telescope viewing
- Get close-up views of the Moon, Jupiter and selected deep-sky objects, including galaxies when visible
- Specialist telescopes with binocular eyepieces make it easy for everyone to enjoy the view.
Expert-led sessions
Your sessions will be led by Dean Watson, who brings:
- Extensive hands-on experience in observational astronomy
- Practical expertise with a wide range of telescopes and equipment
- A strong track record of delivering engaging, public-facing astronomy sessions
