Flag Fen Fledglings (Age 2+)

10am - 11.30am
In celebration of World Book Day Fledglings activities are on the theme of children's storybook favourite, Stickman, by Julia Donaldson. Transform your favourite stick into your very own stick man to take home and enjoy making some wild art in the forest using sticks and other natural materials and make a stick crown so that you can be king or queen of the forest. Complete your adventure with some fun themed sensory play in the mud kitchen and sand pit.

10am - 11.30am

Follow the fairy dust to hunt for the fairy tale characters in the enchanted Flag Fen forest and make a woodland den for an elf. Use clay and natural materials to create your own tree guardian and explore some fairy tale themed sensory play including hosting a fairy tale tea party in the mud kitchen. Spread some magic and make your own fairy wand to take home using natural materials and enjoy listening to a favourite fairy tale around the fire pit

10am - 11.30am

Step into a world full of dinosaur fun. Listen to the story Bumpus Jumpus Dinosaurumpus, by Tony Mitten and Guy Parker- Rees and enjoy stomping like a T-Rex. Dig for real fossils such as ammonites and belemnites in the sand pit, make your own dinosaur fossil imprint using clay and follow the tracks on a fun dino-hunt to find the missing dinosaurs hidden in Flag Fen's forest. Explore different textures in the outdoor area to make dinosaur rubbings and enjoy sensory play in the dinosaur mud kitchen.
