Romans Life & Legends

What to expect:

Packed with live demonstrations, interactive activities, historical characters, and engaging storytelling, Romans: Life & Legends offers an unforgettable opportunity to explore the ancient past in a fun, educational, and truly immersive way.

Discover what daily life was really like in Roman Britain as you explore traditional crafts, watch coin-making demonstrations, learn about Roman cooking techniques, and witness impressive military drills and archery displays. Young visitors can even train like Roman soldiers, testing their skills and discipline through fun family activities inspired by the Roman army.

Meet the legendary Boudica inside a reconstructed roundhouse and hear dramatic tales of rebellion, courage, and resistance against Roman rule. Families can also try slingshot practice and explore the tools, weapons, and traditions that shaped life during this fascinating period of history.

Throughout the weekend, storyteller Michelle Bullivant will captivate audiences with themed tales inspired by Roman myths, legends, and everyday life, adding another layer of adventure and imagination to the experience.
